Your Tasks
- Acute care and close monitoring of stroke patients in the Stroke Unit / neurological intensive care unit
- Conducting neurological assessments and regular documentation of findings
- Assistance with interventional measures, e.g. thrombolysis or catheter interventions
- Prevention and treatment of complications, such as dysphagia management or pneumonia prophylaxis
- Early mobilisation and support in rehabilitation to optimise patient recovery
- Continuous monitoring of vital parameters and neurological symptoms
- Interdisciplinary cooperation with physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy
Your Profile
- Completed training as a health and nursing professional, specialist nurse or nurse
- Completed further training as a Stroke Nurse or willingness to undertake part-time further training during employment
- Proficient handling of clinic-specific IT systems (nursing documentation, monitoring software) advantageous
- Friendly, empathetic and open manner with patients and their relatives
- Reliable, quick and structured way of working in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment
- Teamwork skills, strong communication and commitment to stroke care / Stroke Unit
