Head of Facility Maintenance (m/f/d)

Living & Housing «In der Au» is the guiding principle of VitaFutura AG and encompasses living, care, catering through the in-house kitchen as well as the public restaurant & bistro LaVita. For the qualified implementation of these services, VitaFutura AG currently employs 150 staff in the areas of nursing, Spitex, gastronomy, technical service and administration. The company operates as a non-profit joint-stock company on behalf of the municipality of Volketswil.

We are looking for a

• Professional and personnel management of the Technical Service with two employees and two apprentices
• Ensuring the operation, maintenance and servicing of all technical systems, installations and building infrastructures
• Supervision of 86 retirement apartments or studios, 46 care rooms, maintenance of garden areas and general properties
• Planning, coordination and monitoring of all repair and maintenance work using the FM tool
• First point of contact for internal hardware and IT concerns as well as coordination with external IT service providers
• Administrative tasks and documentation using common Microsoft Office applications
• Organisation and management of the technical on-call service
• Conducting in-house training, especially in the areas of fire protection, occupational safety and emergency organisation
• Participation in conversion, renovation and investment projects
• Coordination of cross-departmental work and close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with legal regulations, safety and quality standards

• Caretaker with a federal diploma of vocational education and training
• Ideally a technical basic education, for example as an electrician, plumber or in a comparable profession
• Training as a safety officer (SIBE) as well as vocational trainer or willingness to complete these further trainings
• Several years of professional experience in technical building maintenance as well as experience in a leadership role
• Organisational talent, independent and structured working style as well as high resilience
• Strong service orientation, flexibility and hands-on mentality
• Enjoyment in working with different professional groups and high social competence
• Empathy and understanding for the needs of elderly people
• Experience in leading or participating in projects is an advantage
• Good IT user skills (Microsoft Office) as well as affinity for digital working tools
• Driving licence category B
