For an external client project in the Greater Zurich area, we are looking for an experienced, competent individual for the position of Project Manager at the expert level (8-12 years of experience) starting from 01.10.2025 .
Main Responsibilities:
- Project leadership and development Taking over project management from the planning phase or from the target image (depending on the project status) Developing a comprehensive solution that ensures the requirements of the client, feasibility, and the long-term viability of the location. Ensuring the feasibility (technical, economic, legal, and urban planning) of the proposed solutions. Conducting test planning to examine the feasibility of various scenarios.
- Development of a comprehensive concept Developing a future-proof overall concept for the property that integrates functional requirements, sustainability, brand identity, and urban planning aspects. Considering the future space needs and working methods of the client. Ensuring that the concept forms the basis for the approval readiness.
- Procurement and management of external partners Conducting the procurement of partners for project planning and realization (e.g., architects, engineers, specialist planners). Managing and coordinating external partners during project planning and execution.
- Project planning and execution Leading the project planning phase and ensuring compliance with time, cost, and quality specifications. Managing the execution until the creation of decision-making bases and preparation for approval readiness.
- Stakeholder management Leading internal stakeholders and interest groups Close collaboration with internal departments (e.g., real estate management, sustainability, corporate strategy, controlling, communication) Engaging external stakeholders and interest groups Coordination with authorities, neighbors, planners, and other external stakeholders. Knowledge and consideration of surrounding development projects Actively accompanying and considering projects in the neighborhood and surrounding area.
- Involvement and management of third parties Involving specialized third parties (e.g., for legal, technical, or urban planning issues) in coordination with the client as needed. Managing and coordinating these external experts.
- Regular reporting Creating regular reports on the project status and compliance with milestones. Presenting progress, risks, and challenges to the decision-makers of the client.
- Cost management and financing Creating a business plan that assesses the economic viability of the project. Supporting the examination of financing solutions as well as the development of budgeting and credit planning.
- Consideration of legal and urban planning framework conditions Ensuring compliance with building and zoning regulations, high-rise guidelines, and other legal framework conditions. Examining the necessity of a design plan, building protection, and urban planning requirements (e.g., design competition).
- Sustainability and future viability Integration of sustainable principles such as climate neutrality, circular economy, mobility concepts, and biodiversity into the project. Assessing the ecological, economic, and social impacts of the development options.
Requirements (content, methodology, technology):
- Professional qualifications Completed studies in architecture, civil engineering, real estate management, or a comparable field.
- Proven experience in project development, especially in corporate real estate and complex real estate projects. Solid
- Managing projects with multiple stakeholders and complex dependencies. Real estate development: Experience in the conception and implementation of real estate projects, including feasibility studies and test planning.
- Understanding the requirements of corporate real estate, especially regarding space efficiency, work environments, and ESG criteria.
- Integration of ESG criteria (environmental, social, governance) and sustainable principles into real estate projects.
- Experience in considering urban planning requirements and collaborating with authorities and political processes in the context of project developments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
- High problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical and methodological competencies Proficient use of project management tools and methods.
- Knowledge in budgeting, cost control, and financing of real estate projects.
- Experience in creating business cases and life cycle cost analyses.
- Solid experience in managing internal and external stakeholders.
