Along the noise barrier on the A13 motorway near Felsberg, work has begun on the extension of the solar system. So far, the substructure has been installed, with the panels to follow by spring 2025.
At the beginning of November 2024, in collaboration with Jörimann Stahl AG, we were able to start installing the substructure for the extension of the solar system on the A13 near the municipality of Felsberg. To minimise disruption to traffic, the work was carried out exclusively at night. After a total of six nights, the work was already completed. By spring 2025, a total of 1520 panels will be mounted on the new substructure. The new system delivers a total output of 675 kWp (kilowatt peak) and a projected electricity yield of 775,000 kWh per year. This can supply electricity to approximately 226 households. The new system along the A13 near Felsberg is thus 2.5 times more powerful than the existing one. Another important, decisive step towards a CO2-neutral future.
