Your tasks:
The Jazz Institute is one of three institutes at the University of Music Basel. Students are trained in three bachelor's and master's degree programs.
- You teach the major subject piano as well as thematic ensemble lessons in the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs
- You supervise students in all study phases and provide both individual and group lessons
- You contribute your interdisciplinary skills and collaborate with the lecturers at the institute on the further development of teaching.
Your profile:
- You are an internationally recognized and well-networked artistic personality with excellent didactic skills and experience in higher education teaching
- Within jazz, you are familiar with its traditions and currents as well as the latest developments, and you are open to other music styles and art forms
- You have a distinctive profile within your field, are able to inspire students both in instrumental-technical and artistic-innovative work, and competently guide them
- You hold relevant academic degrees and pedagogical qualifications
- You have a higher education didactic qualification or the willingness to acquire it during the first years and understand the implementation of the performance mandate of universities of applied sciences as an exciting field of activity
