Secondary school teachers with special tasks for English 70 - 100%The Kantonsschule Wiedikon is a high school with various academic profiles, a bilingual Matura program in German/English, as well as a specialized middle school. It is a larger school with around 1200 students and 200 teachers. The historic school building is located in a quiet area on the Bühl hill in the Zurich-Wiedikon district. The Kantonsschule Wiedikon, which has been growing for years, expanded its offerings for the 2024/25 school year with the Hohlstrasse branch near Hardbrücke station. Starting from the autumn semester 2027/28, teaching positions with special tasks for English totaling approximately 300% are to be filled. Employment is according to the regulations for secondary and vocational school teachers as secondary school teachers with special tasks.
Your tasks
- You teach English at our long or short high school with a workload of 70% or more
- You take on special tasks within the school (class teacher duties, participation in school development projects, etc.)
- You are involved in the subject department and advocate for the promotion of the English language, literature, and culture at the school
Your profile
- Open-minded, team-oriented, and committed personality
- Enjoyment in contributing to a diverse and lively school life
- Completed university degree in English literature and linguistics
- Teaching diploma for Matura schools (or teaching diploma examination imminent)
- Teaching experience at long and/or short high schools
