SOCIAL WORKER AT 80%
Do you have a very good knowledge of social issues, benefits and social insurances as well as the Geneva social network?
Are you autonomous, have a sense of priorities and good organisational skills, and are you able to manage emergencies?
Are you empathetic, possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong sense of fair treatment, and are you committed to teamwork?

For the solidarity sector, under the supervision of the sector manager, you will be responsible for:
- informing and granting individual assistance to the Carouge population who contact the Social Affairs Service;
- carrying out a social assessment of individuals and setting up follow-up by defining objectives and priorities;
- supporting beneficiaries in resolving their difficulties and in their administrative procedures with the aim of enabling them to assert their rights;
- setting up social support by mobilising the person’s network and the competent aid services;
- sometimes intervening in social emergency situations;
- assessing the relevance of financial aid and ensuring its proper use;
- actively participating in team meetings and supervision;
- providing cover for colleagues during their absence;
- maintaining and developing network work with various partners.

YOU OFFER
- a HES degree in social work or an equivalent qualification, ideally with a certified additional training in the social field;
- a very good knowledge of social issues, benefits and social insurances as well as the Geneva social network with a strong sense of public service;
- good autonomy and organisational skills, a sense of priorities as well as good stress and emergency management;
- proficiency in basic computer tools.
Starting date: As soon as possible
Salary scale: 9-10
Working hours: Occasionally evening sessions
