Laboratory Technician in Environmental Analytical Chemistry / Technical Reference
  • Contribute to the implementation, organization, and optimization of industrial and micropollutant analyses, mainly in air, water, and soil matrices
  • Ensure a role as a technical reference, with the objective of guaranteeing the reliability, quality, and relevance of analytical results
  • Collaborate to coordinate the execution of analyses, maintenance of equipment, technically support laboratory technicians, and propose methodological improvements tailored to the service's needs
  • This position strengthens the laboratory's ability to respond in a targeted, efficient, and evolving manner to the demands of the service and internal and external clients
  • Respond to the establishment of processes to achieve the Service's objectives related to the strategic axes of CIMO's mission
  • Assume a role as a reference within the team, this position being designed for a professional with strong organizational and technical potential
  • Contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of micropollutant analyses and industrial samples (air, water, soil), using gas or liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC, LC, GC-MS, LC-MS)
  • Help organize analyses according to priorities, workload, and available resources, in collaboration with other team members
  • Provide technical support to laboratory technicians: methodological advice, problem-solving, daily assistance
  • Ensure and participate in the establishment of maintenance for analytical equipment as well as the technical monitoring of instruments
  • Propose improvements or developments of analytical methods, according to the service's needs and client expectations
  • Contribute to technical documentation, writing analysis and activity reports
  • Ensure a role as a technical reference, guaranteeing the quality, reliability, and compliance of methods and results with the laboratory's requirements and ISO/IEC 17025 standards
  • Actively participate in the management of non-conformities and internal or external audits related to quality (ISO 17025)
  • Get involved in the laboratory's continuous improvement initiatives, both technically and organizationally
  • CFC of laboratory technician in chemistry (or equivalent in Switzerland or abroad)
  • Higher education in analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, or analytical sciences, a strong asset
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in analysis laboratories, ideally in the fields of environmental and industrial analytical chemistry
  • Confirmed mastery of GC, LC, GC-MS, LC-MS, GC-MS/MS, UPLC-MS/MS techniques
  • Excellent knowledge of micropollutants in air/water/soil matrices
  • Good knowledge of quality requirements ISO 9001, ISO 17025, GLP
  • Experience in the development, validation, and adaptation of analytical methods
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, write reports, and propose tailored solutions
  • Experience in maintenance and technical monitoring of analytical equipment
  • Experience in investment projects for analytical equipment (CAPEX) would be a valued asset
  • Aptitude for technical monitoring and/or supporting colleagues, projects, even without a hierarchical function
  • Proficiency in computer tools and laboratory technical software (Limpsophy), SAP is an asset
