The privately run senior centre in the heart of Winterthur offers around 150 residents a living and life space where they feel comfortable and are cared for according to their needs. The Wiesengrund Senior Centre is a recognised and popular establishment in the healthcare sector.
The Technical Department is an important service unit. Through its collaborative partnership with residents, staff and our guests, it makes a significant contribution to the smooth operation of our senior centre.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a:
Team Leader Technical Department 100%
In this responsible and varied role, you will lead the Technical Department and, together with your team, ensure the smooth operation as well as the preservation of value of our properties and technical systems. You will manage a team of four employees as well as an apprentice and a student on a project assignment.
What you can achieve with us:
- Professional, personnel and operational management of the Technical Department
- Responsibility for deployment and resource planning as well as the further development of your team
- Responsibility for the training of apprentices
- Ensuring building maintenance as well as the upkeep, servicing and preservation of value of the properties, technical systems, equipment and outdoor facilities
- Planning, coordination and supervision of maintenance, repair and renewal work
- Organisation and coordination of external service providers and craft businesses
- Technical and logistical support for all areas of the senior centre
- Provision of infrastructure for internal and external events as well as technical support
- Responsibility for compliance with safety, labour and fire protection regulations
- Participation in projects and active involvement in the further development of the Technical Department
What you bring with you:
- Completed technical or craft apprenticeship
- Federal diploma as a caretaker or a comparable further qualification in building technology or facility management
- Several years of professional and leadership experience in a comparable role, ideally in healthcare or an institutional environment
- Strong technical understanding as well as manual dexterity
- Business management thinking as well as a high awareness of costs, quality and responsibility
- Experience in planning, prioritising and coordinating maintenance and repair work
- High social competence, strong communication skills and enjoyment in leading and promoting employees
- Resilience, flexibility and the ability to keep an overview even in hectic situations
- Service-oriented personality with pleasure in contact with residents, relatives and employees
- Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
