The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. Thanks to the commitment and competence of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
The Institute of Integrated Diagnostics of Italian Switzerland (IDISI) brings together the Clinics of radiology, nuclear medicine, pathology, and laboratory medicine and, with its approximately 600 collaborators and nearly 4 million exams and analyses performed each year, offers a complete and high-quality diagnostic service, meeting the needs of patients residing throughout the cantonal territory.
Overcoming traditional specialist barriers, IDISI adopts a multidisciplinary approach to promote more efficient and personalized diagnostic-therapeutic pathways, capable of responding specifically to the particular needs of each patient. Furthermore, the Institute is oriented towards university teaching and the promotion of biomedical research.
The Nuclear Medicine Clinic performs about 8,000 diagnostic and therapeutic exams annually, covering almost all services available in the field of nuclear medicine. Among the various recognitions obtained, the Clinic is accredited by the European body UEMS/EBNM for clinical and training activities.
The EOC Nuclear Medicine Clinic, for its postgraduate training center, is looking for a
Assistant Physician in Nuclear Medicine (100%)
The candidate will work and carry out postgraduate training transversally between the two sites of the EOC Nuclear Medicine Clinic (Bellinzona and Lugano), according to the Service's needs.
Necessary requirements:
- Degree/diploma in medicine and related registration in MedReg
- for doctors with foreign qualifications, recognition by the Federal Commission for Medical Professions MEBEKO and registration in MedReg are mandatory before starting the activity
- proven knowledge of the Italian language (from B2 level to native speaker)
- strong relational, communication, and teamwork skills, initiative, flexibility, and a positive attitude oriented towards achieving the Clinic's objectives
- preferential qualifications include previous experience, even if brief, in a nuclear medicine service/clinic as a student/visiting doctor/medical candidate, a thesis/master's work in nuclear medicine, and willingness to start a postgraduate training path in nuclear medicine at the center and continue it for at least three consecutive years.
