Water Ecology Specialist
The Water Protection Laboratory conducts chemical and biological investigations on lakes and flowing waters in the Canton of Zurich. Based on this data, the condition and development of the waters can be assessed and measures derived. The knowledge within the team enables the evaluation of projects from a water ecological perspective.
Your tasks
- Handling water-specific questions with a focus on lake restoration and the impacts of climate change
- Leading and coordinating internal and external projects
- Maintaining and further developing the specialist databases
- Project assessment and co-reports for the granting of permits and concessions
- Processing consultations and parliamentary matters
Your profile
- University or university of applied sciences degree in biology or environmental sciences
- Solid knowledge in limnology and experience in the assessment of waters
- Very good skills in oral and written presentation of complex issues
- Good knowledge in data processing and data management
- Motivated and proactive personality with a goal-oriented and independent working style
