As part of the development of the Tram Maintenance service, we are offering the following position:
Multimechanic/Machinist
Your mission
Reporting to the Tram Maintenance Manager, you will need to inspect the running surfaces of the tram fleet, perform the grinding/machining of wheel tires as well as their adjustments and/or possible repairs. These tasks must be carried out as quickly as possible to provide various internal and external clients with a quality of service that meets their needs, in compliance with rules, standards, and directives.
Your main responsibilities
• According to the established mileage schedule, ensure the grinding and turning of wheel tires according to current prescriptions or received directives and record the diameters of tires and flange thickness to report minimum wear dimensions and/or other anomalies, with the aim of restoring the vehicle to working order as soon as possible,
• perform maintenance, improvement, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on the grinding machine and the pit lathe to ensure they are always reliable and operational,
• as needed, monitor and plan tire maintenance interventions using the electronic tracking tools provided,
• upon request, provide support in your area of expertise to Vehicle Maintenance and Preparation (network troubleshooting & transfers) within the scope of mobility.
Your profile
• Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as multimechanic or equivalent qualification,
• 3 years of professional experience in mechanics, in an automotive or industrial company,
• driving license, forklift license, and ability to obtain an internal tram license,
• very good technical knowledge of railway vehicles,
• very good knowledge in PC diagnostics,
• strong ability to learn new tasks, curiosity, and adaptability.
