Temporary Specialist Payroll Management 80 - 100%The Payroll sector in the Primary School Office is responsible for the timely payroll processing of around 20,000 teachers, school principals, as well as vicars.
Our HR and payroll system is currently being replaced by a new SAP standard solution, which is being introduced in stages. Our experienced team tackles this challenge with a healthy dose of humour and the necessary flexibility.
From 1 September 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a proactive, flexible and independent person to support and strengthen our management team, on a fixed-term basis for one year with the possibility of extension.
Your tasks
- You are responsible for the correct and timely payroll processing of all payroll administration tasks for a small assigned area.
- You revise existing work instructions, write new checklists and training materials.
- You participate in the ongoing HR project and the end-to-end specialist tests.
- You take responsibility for the development and optimisation of processes.
- You advise the team on specialist questions and handle special cases.
- You process Excel lists and create control reports with ease.
This position is made for you if
- You have completed further training in payroll, social insurance or human resources.
- Ideally, you have extensive payroll expertise and experience in project work.
- You are committed to motivating collaboration and appreciate open communication.
- Thanks to your networked and solution-oriented thinking, you quickly familiarise yourself with new processes and help shape them purposefully.
- You work in a structured, efficient and precise manner and have a flair for numbers.
- You enjoy applying your very good IT user skills (SAP S/4HANA, QM4, Excel and Word) and your confident German.
- You see change as an opportunity and go the extra mile when necessary.
