In short
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Inbound Transport Operations Lead for our Zurich-based Global Inbound Transportation Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Inbound Transportation Operations, you will drive the execution of strategic transport initiatives and enhance delivery performance by ensuring our products flow from our suppliers to our warehouses for your assigned markets efficiently and on time. Your will play a pivotal role in managing and evolving our transport operations to boost performance, foster proactive shipment oversight, and streamline our transportation network.
Your Mission
- Drive key strategic initiatives for Transport Operations, including supporting the establishment of transport flows to new warehouses, onboarding of Logistics Service Providers, and scaling of Direct Ship operations.
- Lead and optimize inbound delivery performance for a specific market, ensuring timely and cost-effective product flows from factories to warehouses across diverse modes of shipment (air, sea, road), and guaranteeing rigorous adherence to SLAs and lead-time benchmarks.
- Establish strong partnerships with LSPs, Regional Operations, Customs and Supply Planning mitigating supply chain disruptions proactively, driving continuous improvement and enforcing accountability across all stakeholders
- Co-lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with LSPs and market-level reviews to evaluate KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and hold all stakeholders accountable.
- Lead initiatives to standardize, align, and re-assess global transport operations requirements across providers and destinations.
- Foster best practice sharing, driving standardization and harmonization where beneficial while maintaining agility for local market needs.
Your story
- A degree in business, economics, logistics, planning, supply chain, information systems, or operations; MBA a is a plus.
- +7 years of work experience in global transport operations ideally in an apparel/fashion global supply chain management or freight forwarding/carrier industry. Additional supply chain experience in other areas such as, procurement, sourcing, supply planning, and warehousing is an asset.
- Extensive knowledge and operational experience across all modes of transport, including airfreight, seafreight, truck, and courier services.
- Strong analytical, structured and data driven mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, to interact effectively with different teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in English. Other languages are a plus.
- Ability to work and deliver in changing environments, under very limited guidance while adhering to specified deadlines.
