Research Associate Pedagogy & Quality in the SPF/DAF Sector 80 - 90%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counselling actively shapes the services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counselling. Children, young people and families are at the heart of our work – we commit ourselves to this every day – with great passion and dedication. The Sponsorships Department is part of the Supplementary Educational Assistance sector and is responsible for the enforcement of the Child and Youth Home Act (KJG).
In the Pedagogy & Quality team, we are looking for an experienced professional from the fields of Social Work, Social Pedagogy or Educational Sciences, preferably with experience in social pedagogical family assistance (SPF) or with a service provider in family care (DAF), to join us immediately or by arrangement on a fixed-term contract until 31.12.2030.
Your tasks
- Supervision of organisations in the SPF and DAF sectors in the Canton of Zurich, including handling supervision-relevant incidents
- Examination of submitted documents within the framework of the reporting obligation of SPF and DAF providers
- Responsibility for concluding service agreements with service providers in the SPF/DAF sector and for reviewing the annual reports
- Advising service providers on professional, organisational and legal questions regarding quality assurance.
- Participation in the development of normative requirements, processes and qualitative foundations in the SPF/DAF sector
- Close cooperation on financial aspects with the Controlling team and with the service providers
Your profile
- A Bachelor’s degree (University/FH) in Social Work, Educational Sciences or related disciplines with an interest and understanding of business management issues and no fear of numbers
- Several years of professional experience in child protection, social pedagogical family assistance or family care
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex matters clearly, precisely and appropriately for the target group.
- Confident demeanour and the ability to act clearly and constructively even in demanding conversational situations
- High degree of independence, resilience and motivation to actively drive things forward
- Interest in engaging in a socially and politically relevant environment and taking on responsibility
