ERM Swiss GmbH is looking for a (Junior) Environmental Consultant to join our growing team in Switzerland. In this function you will support us in the areas of contaminated site investigations and in the remediation of subsoil and groundwater. In addition, you will coordinate subcontractors in cooperation with colleagues. You will primarily be involved in Swiss projects.
About the role
- You will support the Swiss team in investigating contaminated sites, evaluating remediation strategies and implementing remediation
- In our projects you take on the planning and execution of field work, the coordination of subcontractors, the processing of data and support in the preparation of reports and offers. All work is carried out in close and ongoing coordination with the rest of the team and your superiors
- You take part in internal specialist events (Technical Community Calls) as well as in internal training courses and are actively involved
- You, like every other ERM employee, take on an active role in the planning and monitoring of occupational safety and the prevention of accidents or damage to health
About you
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science or environmental engineering
- Basic knowledge of Swiss environmental legislation (Contaminated Sites Ordinance, Water / Soil / Air Protection Ordinances, Waste Ordinance, Ordinance on Transport of Hazardous Waste, etc.)
- Independent, structured, conscientious and goal-oriented way of working
- Team player and good work ethic
- Motivated for field work (e.g. drilling supervision, groundwater sampling etc.)
- Fluency in French and English is essential (at least C2 level). Additionally, good to very good knowledge of German or Italian is an advantage
- Flexible and willing to travel on business (primarily within Switzerland and sometimes in neighboring countries)
