Our team in the Building Department is responsible for the areas of building permits, urban planning, real estate, energy, and sports.

As Head of the Building Permits Department, you are responsible for the building permit process up to and including final acceptance. You lead a team of specialists from the building permits, building control, fire police, and civil protection control bodies. All team members have many years of experience in their fields of activity.

For the newly created position, we are looking for a strong leader or an ambitious young talent with solid expertise to start immediately or by arrangement as

• You take over the personnel and organizational management of the Building Permits Department and actively shape its further development.
• As deputy to the Head of Building Permits, you share responsibility for efficient and legally compliant execution and advising applicants.
• You coordinate building appeal procedures and ensure a smooth process.
• You accompany procedures in the area of monument preservation.
• You draft and review building permits and ensure a high quality of decisions.
• You actively contribute your expertise in the meetings of the building authority.

• enjoy working in a dynamic environment with a lively team.
• have professional experience and good knowledge of planning and building law in the canton of Zurich.
• possess leadership skills, ideally complemented by further training.
• have gained experience in project management.
• preferably already have knowledge of CMI (construction) and eBuilding application.
• have very good oral and written expression in German.
