The Institute of Forensic Medicine (IRM) provides forensic medical services for the city and canton of Bern, as well as for other catchment areas, in addition to teaching and research as a university institute.
In the Department of Forensic Medicine and Imaging, various imaging methods (CT, MRI, 3D surface scanning) are used alongside classical forensic methods for case processing. We are looking for an assistant doctor, an assistant physician to complement the team.
Your Tasks
- Participation in forensic medical services (including on-call duty, responding to crime scenes, body discovery sites, and physical examinations)
- Co-responsibility for autopsies, legal inspections, and physical examinations
- Co-responsibility for writing expert opinions and reports
- Participation in the teaching activities of the institute
What You Bring
- Swiss medical diploma or an equivalent foreign qualification recognized by MEBEKO and interest in forensic issues
- A careful and precise working style as well as teamwork ability
- Excellent oral and written communication in German (native language)
- Driver's license for passenger cars
