The Diagnostic Department , composed of eight medical services, is tasked with providing diagnoses, therapeutic products, therapeutic procedures, and specialised clinical consultations of high medical quality, within the shortest possible time and at an acceptable cost, to guide patient care and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.
The Radiology Service has as its main mission the performance of diagnostic radiology examinations and therapeutic interventions guided by various imaging techniques. This clinical activity includes approximately 220,000 examinations and 5,000 diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per year, a significant portion of which is provided on a 24/7 basis. The medical team of the Radiology Service also organises more than 300 multidisciplinary meetings per month, on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Job Description
Within the scope of your role, you assume, under the medical responsibility of the radiologist, the comprehensive and appropriate care of patients for the purpose of performing diagnostic examinations and treatments. You ensure their safety, that of accompanying persons, as well as all involved staff. You guarantee the quality of results and procedures chosen in performing diagnostic and therapeutic acts and master the technological means according to the progress of your professional development.
You also take charge of coordinating, organising, and managing radiological procedures by mobilising human and technical resources, and you assist the radiologist during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. You provide supervision and evolving clinical teaching adapted to different types of learners and keep your own knowledge up to date.
Finally, you participate in development and research, contribute to improving procedures and working methods, as well as to the advancement of the profession.
Qualifications
You hold, or are in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor of Science HES in Medical Radiology Technology, class of 2026, and wish to join the care teams at the Geneva University Hospitals.
A team spirit, cooperation, and initiative are necessary to succeed in this role, as well as good stress management.
