Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defence of the interests of the child.
Serving families in the canton, it operates through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfil its mission, the institution manages 47 facilities across the Canton of Geneva, offers more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also provides educational outreach services at home. The FOJ employs 670 staff members.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is seeking a qualified educator for its Maison Gemelli facility, on an 11-month contract, to strengthen and complete the educational team.
Job Description
- Care, support and accompaniment of two young people living in a residential home, in close collaboration with the educational team
- Support for two young people with ASD, with particular attention to their needs
- Close collaboration with placement services, the health network and the family to ensure comprehensive and appropriate follow-up.
Job Specifics
- Irregular working hours (including nights and weekends).
Activity rate: 90%
Contract duration: as soon as possible until 30 April 2027
Contract type: Fixed-term contract
Grade: 13 or 15 according to the State of Geneva salary scale

Qualifications
- Bachelor in social work (HETS), Diploma as a social educator (ES), Bachelor in nursing, or university Bachelor (related field to social work) with one year of full-time professional practice in residential care or IGE
- Foreign diplomas: requirement of final recognition decision by SEFRI (or an equivalent recognised body)
- Significant prior experience in a similar position with young children with special educational needs
- Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and intervention tools (TEACH, PECS)
- Very good knowledge of the Geneva social network
- Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly
- Autonomy, sense of responsibility and initiative, combined with a strong team spirit
- Good writing skills in French
Additional Information
Possession of a driving licence (category B)
Swiss nationality or valid work permit required.
