- Expansion of the field of adult protection and joint content development of the focus on child and adult protection at the Institute for Childhood, Youth and Family
- Design, development and implementation of continuing education and service offerings in (civil law) adult protection
- Teaching activities in initial and continuing education in the field of adult protection
- Planning and implementation of development and research projects
- Positioning of the field of adult protection and the service area products towards practice and the scientific community
We are looking for a personality characterized by high quality contributions, initiative, and a pragmatic, performance-oriented work style. You are motivated to address the relevant questions in the focus area of child and adult protection and to engage in dialogue with authorities, practice organizations, and the scientific community. As a creative developer, you succeed in inspiring our stakeholders with your innovative ideas and projects and implementing them in the form of concrete offerings. You promote young scientists and maintain a collegial atmosphere within the institute and the department.
You contribute to current social issues, actively shape the further development of adult protection, and contribute to the practice-oriented training of the next generation of professionals.
You have a university degree in social work, law, or another discipline in social and health sciences, preferably with a doctorate, and bring solid theoretical knowledge as well as a broad portfolio in continuing education and/or research. Your professional expertise relates to risk situations in adulthood with topics such as mental health, domestic violence, addiction, coercion contexts, or risk situations of young adults. To further strengthen the topic of adult protection at the university, you bring differentiated knowledge and solid practical experience. Good knowledge of the Swiss social and legal system completes your profile. The workload can be negotiated between 80% and 100%.
The appointment as professor is made by the University of Applied Sciences Council upon appropriate qualification.
