'Weighing & Instrument Components' (MTWIC) is a leader in the industrialisation and production of laboratory scales and other high-resolution gravimetric instruments, terminals, MFR force sensors and circuit boards for the entire METTLER TOLEDO Group.  For our MTWIC business unit, we are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual as a Software Engineer C# .NET 100% (all genders) for our location in Nänikon-Greifensee. Your tasks: You will take on a central role in the design, development and maintenance of software solutions for our global manufacturing systems. In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions that increase manufacturing efficiency and drive digital transformation. You will also support the local team at the Nänikon site in designing, developing and maintaining customised software solutions for production. In this role, you will undertake the following activities: You will drive the design, development and maintenance of MES applications and software solutions for our global manufacturing systems. You will design and implement customised software solutions for production at the Nänikon site, mainly using .NET technologies. You will translate business requirements into technical solutions in close collaboration with business analysts and create concepts and architectures. You will develop and maintain interfaces between the MES and third-party systems (e.g. SAP) and drive digital transformation. You will support the establishment of CI/CD pipelines, testing and quality assurance to ensure the highest code quality. You will integrate new technologies such as IIoT protocols and AI tools into existing production software. You will plan the rollout of tools in production, conduct employee training and provide technical support for error reports. You will work closely with our sister unit in China to realise innovative solutions for the global optimisation of manufacturing processes.
