The Cantonal Health Centre Appenzell ensures high-quality healthcare and care in old age for Appenzell and the Innerrhoden population. The IVR-recognised emergency service is part of this – dedicated professionals rooted in a region with heart and character.

Amidst idyllic mountain scenery, the topography and operational area offer a wide range of emergency missions – always close to people and with the most modern equipment. For over 16,000 residents and hundreds of thousands of guests, up to two teams are available.

From November 2026 we are looking for you – because you fulfil more than just a job profile: you live your profession.

Your tasks

• Ensuring preclinical acute and emergency medical care for the residents and guests of the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden
• Assessment and care of patients in emergency, crisis and risk situations and initiation of necessary measures
• Collaboration with other professionals and partner organisations

Your profile

• Diploma as Paramedic HF or Federal Certificate as Transport Paramedic
• Empathy, team spirit and the ability to keep a cool head even in stressful moments

Willingness to take responsibility and grow together with us

• Enjoyment in accompanying and promoting broad-based training
