The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. The Project Coordination and Facility Layout group is responsible for coordinating new construction and renovation projects of PSI's large research facilities. On behalf of the project management, we ensure smooth project progress, coordinate technical processes, clarify complex issues, create schedules and facility layouts, and supervise assembly work on site.

Your tasks
- Conducting interface and project meetings
- Coordination and resolution of technical issues (e.g., coordination of delivery dates and test times, integration of occupational safety, magnets, vacuum chambers, and installed components) as well as implementation of special technical procedures within the team
- Creating and maintaining project planning, including resources in MS Project
- Creating assembly sequences in 3D CAD system to check disassembly and assembly scenarios
- Coordination of assembly activities on site
Your profile
- Completed studies as a mechanical engineer FH/TH
- Experience in project coordination and assembly of particle accelerators or from the steel, chemical, or wood industries
- Several years of experience with 2D/3D CAD systems, preferably CATIA V5/V6
- Proactive, independent working style and enjoyment of working in an international environment
- Confident communication in German and English
