For our client, an established Swiss industrial company in the field of mechanical engineering, automation, and customised system solutions, we are looking for a technically skilled and coordination-strong personality as Project Manager Automation / Commissioning 80-100% (m/f) in the Baden AG area.
In this role, you will accompany demanding automation and system projects from technical clarification through internal implementation to commissioning. You coordinate specialist departments, check technical requirements, and ensure that control technology, mechanics, assembly, and customer specifications work together seamlessly.
The position is suitable for a professional with strong technical understanding who wants to make the step from automation, commissioning, or service into a project management role.
- Coordination of technical requirements with customers, engineering, software, electrical design, assembly, and service
- Planning of project workflows, resources, schedules, and technical work packages
- Support of control, assembly, and commissioning topics during the project course
- Coordination of internal tests, functional checks, factory acceptance tests, and customer preparations
- Support with technical clarifications regarding sensors, actuators, drive technology, controls, and interfaces
- Analysis of deviations, technical problems, and optimisation potentials
- Ensuring clear communication between the project team, customers, and internal specialist departments
- Creation and maintenance of project documents, protocols, status reports, and technical documentation
- Support during acceptance, training, handovers, and follow-ups after commissioning
Ideally, you bring:
- Completed training as an automation technician, electrical engineer, mechatronics technician, electrical planner, HF automation technician, or comparable technical education
- Experience in automation, mechanical engineering, commissioning, service, electrical engineering, or plant engineering
- Understanding of PLC controls, sensors, actuators, drives, pneumatics, and industrial interfaces
- Knowledge of Siemens, Beckhoff, TwinCAT, TIA Portal, or comparable systems is an advantage
- Experience in project coordination, technical order processing, or customer projects is an advantage
- Confident handling of electrical schematics, technical documentation, and project documents
- Ability to analyse technical problems in a structured and solution-oriented manner
- Communicative, resilient, and independent personality
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration with engineering, assembly, software, and customers
- Good German language skills, both spoken and written

Profile
You have an electrical engineering, automation technology, or mechatronics education and understand how complex machines and systems work in practice. You work in a structured manner, communicate clearly, and can coordinate technical topics across several specialist areas.Ideally, you bring:
