The Judicial Commission of the Cantonal Council is looking for
a part-time member for the Building Appeals Court (GLP) 20%
for the term of office 2023-2029
The Building Appeals Court is a first-instance specialised court for the assessment of appeals related to building, planning, and environmental law. Its special feature is that the necessary expertise is provided by the part-time presidents and members. Time-consuming expert reports are therefore generally unnecessary.

Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge in the fields of architecture, planning, engineering, environmental sciences
- Familiarity with legal issues and problem-solving
- Negotiation skills and confident demeanour
- Willingness to participate in meetings (deliberations), site inspections, case discussions, etc., and to study files, amounting to about two half-days per week in total
- Temporal and local flexibility
- Voting rights in the Canton of Zurich
- Impeccable reputation
The members of the Building Appeals Court are elected by the Cantonal Council. The seat is claimed by the GLP faction.
The amount of compensation for participation in site inspections, work as a rapporteur, and the preparation of expert reports is governed by the cantonal personnel regulations and the rules of the Administrative Court.
