What is my role?
The shunting service employee (ZSTEBV) is responsible for the safe, punctual, economical and customer-oriented provision of shunting services according to the order and for the correct application of operational processes (FDV).
At the Limmattal shunting yard, you move around the track area between stationary and rolling freight wagons. The work involves noise, and there are regular contacts between different freight wagons during shunting operations. Therefore, a certain resilience to noise and sudden movements is advantageous.
What do I need to be successful?
Preparation of trains for formation on the departure tracks as well as for the shunting brake test including proper inspection of the brake systems
Expert coupling and uncoupling of locomotives
Preparation of arriving trains according to the long-maker list and received instructions
Breaking down the long-formed trains using a coupling rod according to the breakdown list
Carrying out coupling and uncoupling operations on locomotives and wagons
Careful reporting of irregularities, deviations and special incidents to the responsible authorities
Willingness to work 3 shifts
04:00 - 12:00 / 12:00 - 22:00 / 22:00 - 04:00
