The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. For our Engineering and Technical Support group, we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Development, construction, operation, and maintenance of electrochemical systems and test rigs
- Planning, execution, and documentation of measurements and experiments
- Organisation, evaluation, and interpretation of test results
- Participation in the continuous improvement of procedures and processes
- Collaboration with engineers, students, scientists, and technical departments
Your profile
- Completed vocational training as a physics laboratory technician, automation technician, electrician, polymechanic, or comparable
- Technical understanding and enjoyment of practical laboratory work
- Hands-on mentality as well as independent, structured, and careful working style
- Teamwork skills and high safety awareness
- Good German and English skills
- Programming experience, e.g. with LabVIEW, Python, or PLC controls
- Experience with electrochemical systems, e.g. fuel cell or electrolyser test rigs
- Experience in electrical measurement technology
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or similar technical systems
