We at Julius Baer are doing everything possible to enable our teams to live DevOps day in, day out. An important part of this effort is to equip our delivery teams with a state-of-the-art platform enabling them to build, test, release, deploy, operate and monitor our software in a secure and efficient way.
We are looking for a Platform Engineer for our Observability Platform product team. The product is part of an agile release train, focusing on optimizing and accelerating our application delivery teams' journey from idea to production.
IHRE AUFGABEN
- Own the bank global observability platform, consisting of application performance monitoring, synthetic monitoring, and load and performance testing as a member of a product team
- Manage the platform lifecycle from design to production
- Closely collaborate with application teams: collect feedback and relentlessly improve the product offering
- Drive the adoption of “monitoring-as-code” by building an API-first platform
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Good communication, planning and teamwork skills
- Motivated to work in an agile team and commonly reaching ambitious goals
YOUR PROFILE
- Independent, efficient, proactive and meticulous ways of working
- A high attention of quality management, operational resilience IT Security and risk management
- Able to work under pressure and manage a portfolio of tasks
- Recognized analytical thinking skills, and good knowledge of the methods & new ways of working (Agile, DevOps & Continuous Integration, etc.)
- Good process management understanding, including IT change management
- Very good knowledge of hardware engineering and operation, including IT Security, and technology and infrastructure architecture
- Very well acquaintance of service design and engineering
- Network and Data base engineering and operation excellent knowledge
- Relevant higher educational and professional background
