Logistics Employee (m/f/x), 60%
Our Migration & Integration Department of French-speaking Switzerland - a branch of Caritas Switzerland in Fribourg employing around one hundred staff - is responsible for the support and integration of recognised refugees in the canton of Fribourg. On behalf of the canton, we welcome new arrivals in our home in Matran, assist them in finding their own accommodation, provide refugees with material aid and personal advice according to social assistance standards, and support them in steps towards professional and social integration. Additionally, we manage a community interpreting service active in several French-speaking cantons as well as a listening and counselling service against racism for residents of the canton of Fribourg.
The Training and Integration House (MFI) in Matran welcomes refugee families and individuals of all ages for stays of about 6 months. It supports them towards greater autonomy and integration into Swiss society. To cover a maternity leave, we are looking for a logistics employee·for a fixed term of 4 months.
Your tasks
- Maintenance and cleaning of common areas, sanitary facilities, rooms and furniture of the home
- Laundry management and textile care
- Participation in event setup and service
- Support for the smooth running of the logistics sector
- Supervision of interns and beneficiaries in the field
- Some administrative tasks related to the sector
Our requirements
- Experience in cleaning, logistics or hospitality is an advantage
- Organised, autonomous and reliable person
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good command of French (spoken and written)
- Interest in working in a multicultural environment
- Flexibility and practical sense
The workplace is Matran (FR).
Fixed-term contract 60% for 4 months maternity leave replacement.
Preferred working hours: Monday to Friday or as agreed (Morning presence is ideal for sector organisation).
Start date: 1 July 2026 or as agreed.
