The training at SKAN is aimed at individuals who wish to complete a dual education and serves as an entry into the professional world. During the three to four-year apprenticeship, learners go through different departments and areas, gaining an overview of the entire company. The exchange and collaboration of learners from different professions are strongly encouraged. Thus, learners organize events and activities, work together as project teams, and thereby acquire high social and professional skills.

Tasks

• The first year of training takes place externally in the basic year of electronics/automation at the vocational school in Basel
• After that, training takes place in the various internal automation departments
• Additional insights into product testing and project management
• Building automated control systems
• Programming and testing products
• Contact and consulting with external clients
• Intensive exchange with project managers and engineers
• From the 3rd year of training, travel to clients domestically and abroad is possible

Hard skills

• Completed intermediate or upper school level
• Good performance in mathematics and physics
• Very good German language skills
• Good English language skills, additional languages are an advantage
