With the end of the 2024/25 school year, the time of some teachers at Primary School Wittenbach will also come to an end. The following teachers will be farewelled in the three school districts:

Departures from the Kronbühl school district

Debora Schindler taught with great commitment at the middle level over the past five years. With her clear and purposeful manner, she competently supported the pupils up to the upper level. She gladly implemented experiential and educational projects and excursions and tried out many new things. Now she wishes to gain further exciting experiences at a small school in Thurgau.

As a versatile specialist teacher, Brigitte Meier was active in the Kronbühl school district for the last four years. Her specialities are foreign languages, music, and sport. But she also enjoys maths and media & computer science. She enriched our school community repeatedly with musical contributions. In August, she will be able to take on a larger workload in St. Gallen.

Departure from the Sonnenrain school district

After 16 years of dedicated service at Sonnenrain school, we bid farewell to our esteemed specialist teacher Theres Rohner as she enters a well-deserved retirement. With great commitment, much creativity, and impressive expertise, she shaped textile design and inspired generations of learners. She taught with great skill and inventiveness and led the classes with humour and patience. Theres Rohner was highly committed to teamwork and enriched many school decorations and events with her creative ideas. The team could always rely on her competent input and organisational talent. We are pleased for her that she now has time to pursue her diverse interests. We sincerely thank Theres Rohner for her many years of service and wish her all the best, good health, and many fulfilling moments in the time to come!

Departure from the Steig school district

Eliane Fässler was a teacher of textile design in the Steig school district for 7 years. She accompanied the pupils with great empathy and placed great importance on making lessons motivating and conducive to learning. Her ideas and creativity were not only evident in lessons but also visible throughout the school. Eliane Fässler was a humorous and positive person, highly valued as a team player. She is now retiring. We thank Eliane Fässler for her valuable work at Primary School Wittenbach and sincerely wish her all the very best for the future.

For 6 years, Sibylle Bühler worked as a kindergarten teacher in Obstgarten. She teaches with great joy, creativity, and imagination, thereby managing to inspire and support the children. We experienced Sibylle Bühler as an open and communicative person with whom we enjoyed working. Sibylle Bühler is leaving Primary School Wittenbach to teach in a mixed-age learning group.

Claudia Blumer was a class teacher in the Steig kindergarten for one year. She will leave Primary School Wittenbach at the end of the 2024/25 school year as she will take up a new position in the canton of Thurgau. This year, she taught the youngest children in the primary school with enthusiasm and great dedication.

Christine Roth has been working in Obstgarten as a team-teaching and DaZ (German as a second language) teacher for the past one and a half years. She will take up a position as a class teacher again in the summer.

Monika Good worked as a DaZ teacher in Obstgarten during her training to become a primary school teacher. She is leaving us as she will start with her first own class next school year.
