The Justice Execution and Reintegration (JuWe) is an authority of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and employs around 1,400 staff from various professions. JuWe is primarily responsible for the enforcement of court judgments and the execution of pre-trial detention. For the staff of the authority, the prevention of recidivism and the successful social reintegration of individuals who have committed crimes is of particular importance.
The Pöschwies Correctional Facility (JVA) is one of seven main departments of JuWe. The JVA Pöschwies, with 399 places, is the largest closed correctional facility in Switzerland for men who have committed crimes. It fulfills a central state task and is responsible for the resocialization of prisoners and the protection of the public according to legal mandates.
In the area of economy and work, we are looking for a resilient personality with high social competence to lead the cost center Graphics, Printing and Cartonage starting October 1, 2025, or by agreement.

Your area of responsibility
- You lead, manage, and supervise a work group of prisoners in the areas of graphics, printing, and cartonage.
- The technical, financial, and personnel responsibility for the corresponding cost center lies within your area of responsibility.
- Security and supervision tasks are also part of your daily work.
- You ensure the quality of ongoing work and actively participate in day-to-day operations.
- You manage internal and external orders from the proposal creation to timely execution.
- Additionally, you write reports and evaluations about the deployed prisoners and accompany their development.
- As a member of the operational fire department, you provide active service and contribute to safety throughout the operation.
What you bring
- You have completed vocational training with a federal certificate in the graphic industry (prepress, printing, or finishing) and ideally have further training as a correctional specialist or as a work educator.
- You are familiar with operational management – ideally from the graphic industry.
- Several years of professional experience and initial leadership experience distinguish you.
- Flexibility, teamwork, and resilience are among your strengths.
- You enjoy working with people and are open to new areas of responsibility.
- We require very good German language skills in spoken and written form; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Your character is impeccable.
