About the job
familea is a socially responsible association with a 125-year tradition in the Basel area. In over 40 daycares, we care for around 3,000 children. We operate children and youth homes, the foster care center, and social and legal counseling for women. Our services strengthen families, children, and women. They promote the compatibility of family and work, contribute to equal opportunities and integration. With over 900 employees - including around 200 trainees and students - we are a recognized and significant professional and training institution in the social sector.
The transit home Im Vogelsang offers children aged 5 to 13 a quick and uncomplicated admission in emergency situations 365 days a year. The children are taken in during crisis situations for a few days to weeks, remain under observation for several months, or as a bridge until a follow-up solution is provided. They live in one of the three groups, each with 8 places. Up to 8 children can be taught in the internal school.

We are looking for an experienced social pedagogue by arrangement. You can expect varied tasks that challenge your skills and your passion for child and youth welfare.Your areas of responsibility
- Care, support, and education of children in everyday group life
- Key person work for one to two children
- Case management in observation and clarification assignments
- Receiving placement requests
- Accompanying short-term admissions of children
You have completed training in social pedagogy or social work (FH/HF) or an equivalent qualification (*). You bring several years of experience in residential child and youth welfare and have already demonstrated your social skills, independent and responsible working style, as well as your resilience.
*(Note: For foreign diplomas, an equivalence confirmation from the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI) is required.)
Working together in a motivated team inspires you. Self-reflection and professional development are a matter of course for you.
You have solid PC skills and good written expression.
