About the job
The founding idea behind Identitas AG proved successful again in 2025: Thanks to comprehensive, reliable, and up-to-date data, animal disease control can be managed simply and cost-effectively. Accordingly, Identitas AG made an important contribution to carrying out vaccination campaigns against bluetongue disease and lumpy skin disease, while keeping the effort for animal keepers to a minimum.
Digitalisation strengthens animal keepers
In the future, Identitas AG will continue to focus primarily on simple yet secure data management and data provision. In 2025, the introduction of the TVD app and e-transit app significantly simplified cattle movement. With the new Tag4Farm offering, it is now possible to keep an eye on alpine pastures and herds thanks to geolocation – easily and conveniently on a smartphone. And with the complete renewal of the TVD by 2030, Identitas AG is creating the conditions for further development steps and enhanced data protection and data security.
Perfect timing for FaBe PSM
From 2027, plant protection products for commercial use may only be obtained with a professional permit. The comprehensive solution developed by Identitas AG on behalf of the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) and in close cooperation with industry associations was very well received by the market. By providing it punctually by the end of 2025, Identitas AG demonstrated its reliability.
Pet sector continues to gain importance
In 2025, the subsidiary Animundo AG was founded for the pet sector, operating a new pet platform as a core element. This aims to better meet the growing expectations of pet owners.
Renewal in the Board of Directors
At the 2026 General Meeting, there will be two changes in the Board of Directors:
- Heinrich Bucher will leave the Board after six years. His successor will be Donat Schneider, who had already succeeded him as Director of the Proviande Cooperative.
- Since 2022, Amandine Baumert has contributed her perspective as a veterinarian to Identitas AG. She will be succeeded by Roberto Mossi, President of the Society of Swiss Veterinarians.
The Board of Directors and Executive Management sincerely thank the departing members for their commitment and look forward to working with the two new members.
