Department: Applied Psychology
Start date: August 2026 or by arrangement. The application deadline is 11 May 2026 and online initial interviews will take place in the first week of June.
In our communications department at the Department of Applied Psychology at ZHAW, you actively shape content in a versatile and socially relevant environment. You get to the heart of topics and enthusiastically develop and plan inspiring content. You also skilfully orchestrate strategic topic planning and enjoy working with different people.
- Content Specialist: You create multimedia content (text, video, image, audio) for all thematic areas and communication channels of the department and prepare it specifically for target groups. You produce appealing and informative videos and can skilfully and clearly implement complex scientific content in a multimedia format. You implement the holistic content strategy in coordination with the management team.
- Topic responsibility: You take on the role of "Topic Responsible" for selected strategic topics. This includes the short- and long-term content development and planning of the respective topic as well as representing the topic in the Content Board. You build an internal network with the relevant experts for this purpose.
- Content management: You participate in strategic topic planning and take over the planning of thematic priorities in the medium term. In addition, you plan, control, and maintain content planning in Airtable in coordination with the Content Board.
- You have a completed degree or comparable training in communication / journalism.
- You bring many years of experience including further training in content creation, storytelling, editing, and content management.
- You have several years of experience in corporate communications and preferably in science communication.
- You are very proficient in creating multimedia content (especially video and image).
- You express yourself very well in writing and speaking, have editorial confidence, and enjoy writing texts.
- You have extensive experience in content planning and strategic topic management. In addition, you bring experience in content strategy development.
- You enjoy contact with people. You are confident and successful in dealing with different stakeholders and can quickly build sustainable networks.
- You have excellent organisational and planning skills and pronounced communication skills.
- You bring a high degree of initiative, assertiveness, and a sense of responsibility. In addition, you are very customer- and service-oriented.
- You are creative and have a good sense of trends and target groups.
