About the job
Secretary from 95% to 100% at the Regional Court of Littoral and Val-de-Travers
- AUTJ149
- The District Court is the cantonal judicial authority of first instance responsible for civil and criminal justice. It operates with full independence, diligence, and rigor.
The District Court is spread over three sites and consists of the following sections: conciliation chamber, civil court, authority for the protection of children and adults (APEA), juvenile criminal court, police court, criminal court, and court of coercive measures.
The Regional Court of Littoral and Val-de-Travers is recruiting a secretary position between 95% and 100%, mainly attached to the APEA.
As a secretary mainly attached to the APEA of the Regional Court of Littoral and Val-de-Travers, you participate in the administrative management of files.
The APEA is notably competent, for adults, to pronounce protective measures (guardianships), designate persons in charge of these measures (guardians), and decide on placements for assistance purposes (art. 426 and following of the Civil Code). Regarding minors, it takes protective measures required by circumstances, such as withdrawal of custody or parental authority, placement, or designation of a guardian.
Within your role, you are responsible for the constitution and administrative processing of judicial files. This includes drafting both correspondence and decisions, scheduling hearings, and assisting at them, particularly by taking minutes (dictated or on the fly).
You also handle the follow-up of biennial reports submitted by guardians and assessors, as well as the monitoring of agendas and deadlines at the IT level. You are also responsible for sending, enforcing, and archiving rendered decisions while representing the first point of contact to welcome and inform litigants, guardians, lawyers, or other administrative services, whether at the counter or by phone.
Holder of a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification, you have prior experience useful for the position, ideally in the judicial environment or in a law firm.
Recognized for your loyalty and discretion, you are strongly attached to public service values and possess a sense of responsibility. An excellent command of French, typing skills, and the Office suite are prerequisites for this position.
Autonomous and endowed with a keen sense of organization, you are proactive and know how to take initiatives within the scope of assigned competencies. You appreciate handling complex files requiring attention to detail. Moreover, you stand out for your extreme rigor and precision.
You are also able to quickly adapt to new environments and integrate into a team. Stress-resistant, you manage, thanks to very good priority management, to handle a large quantity of tasks and respond to multiple requests while respecting both urgency levels and deadlines.
This position finally requires holding a clean criminal record and debt collection record.
