As a core member of BOBST Quality Control and Sensor (QCS) team, a cross-department provider of advanced industrial vision solutions, the Product Owner will implement the product strategy for specific features, markets, customers, and/or business unit(s).
We are looking for a Product Owner with a demonstrated can-do attitude, a background in software and/or engineering development, and a proven track record under Agile framework. We are seeking a solution-oriented key actor, hands-on, able to define software and hardware product requirements while deeply understanding business and market needs and creating bonds with internal and external stakeholders.
The Product Owner will report to the QCS Product Manager (PM) in BOBST Group Technology, a transversal department providing advanced quality control & sensor products, supporting all Product Lines. He will be located in Mex (Switzerland) and will have frequent travels (mainly in Europe).
Main Responsibilities
- Transversal collaboration: The Product Owner collaborates with the product/project stakeholders to implement strategy and roadmap, relying on business models, competition analysis and identified ROI.
- Translation of business needs into technical specifications: The PO takes the vision and roadmap defined by the PM and translates them into well-defined technical requirements and functional specifications for the Development and Support & Application (S&A) teams. He collaborates with UX/UI experts to ensure an intuitive product interface and user experience.
- Product backlog management: The PO is responsible for managing the product backlog, prioritizing tasks and features to be developed. He ensures that development teams are working on the features that have the most value for users and the business.
- Evaluation of deliverables: He is responsible for validating the deliverables of the development teams, ensuring that the developed functionalities meet the defined quality criteria and user expectations. In addition, he organizes and conducts user testing sessions to gather feedback and insights.
- Agile development: The PO works closely with development teams, usually within an agile framework, to deliver features within development cycles. He also continuously seeks opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
- Proven track record in product management (as product manager, product owner or business analyst), ideally for industrial vision products.
- Experience in working in agile methodology, ideally Scrum.
- Strong technical background in Engineering.
- + 5 years' experience in Industrial area.
- Constant improvement spirit in a technically demanding environment.
- Clear business mindset with focus on delivering value to customers.
- Passionate about building products for customers and understanding market needs.
- Team oriented, able to work with multiple actors, in a multi-cultural and international environment.
- Open-minded, proactive, autonomous and with an agile mindset.
- Able to manage shifting priorities and to challenge the status quo, dealing with change in an industrial environment.
- Driven to understand and explain complex problems and products.
- Excellent communicator.
- Able to travel (up to 25%).
- M.S. degree or equivalent in Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, Microtechnics, or similar field.
- Full proficiency in English; French an asset.

The production site of Mex, near Lausanne in Switzerland, is also the headquarters of the Bobst Group. It is the most important site, employing approx. 1500 passionate people.
