Project Manager Traffic Management
Department of Civil Engineering | 60-100 % | Chur
The Department of Civil Engineering is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of the cantonal roads as well as water construction and slow traffic in Graubünden. In addition, we take care of the operational maintenance of the national roads in the cantonal area. The road infrastructure of the canton includes over 1,450 structures, including bridges at heights of up to 90 meters and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges posed by the nature of our mountainous canton in summer and winter make our work demanding and diverse. For this reason, we are committed to a systematic Occupational Health Management (BGM).
We are looking for a Project Manager Traffic Management for the Technical Services section starting November 1, 2025 or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Co-designing traffic management in the canton of Graubünden in collaboration with the relevant authorities from municipalities, canton, and federal government
- Independent data-based development, implementation, and support of short- to medium-term measures to prevent diversion traffic and traffic congestion
- Professional support for strategic signaling projects and traffic management measures for large events
- Further development and implementation of the traffic counting strategy
- Monitoring and ensuring deadlines, compliance with quality specifications, costs, and fulfillment of contracts by third parties
- Controlling and monitoring of implemented measures as well as preparation of reports and documentation
This is what we expect from you
- University or technical college degree in traffic/civil engineering, spatial planning, or comparable education
- Practical experience in various fields (traffic, spatial, construction planning)
- Social competence as well as assertiveness and negotiation skills
- Analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills
- Communication skills and enjoyment of dialogue with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of Italian and/or Romansh is desired
