Project Manager – Organizational Development M/F at 80%-100%
The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,000 employees. The Rennaz Hospital Center has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. The Organizational Development Directorate's mission is to lead institutional projects, optimize organization and workflows, and enhance quality and patient experience within the Riviera-Chablais Hospital.
Composed of experts in project management, organizational engineering, continuous improvement, and quality management, it supports teams in implementing concrete solutions to improve operational performance and the patient journey.
At the heart of a modern and evolving hospital, the ODD is transforming to become a strategic partner, capable of driving major changes related to large institutional projects, organizational innovation, and the development of a global quality centered on the patient experience. To complement the Organizational Development Directorate (ODD), we are looking for a: Project Manager
The main responsibilities of this position are
- Lead transversal and/or complex institutional projects ensuring their integration into the institution's value chain and actively contribute to the realization of the strategic plan.
- Define objectives, scope, deliverables, and milestones; plan and coordinate project phases and activities while integrating resource, time, and budget constraints.
- Form, mobilize, and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams; ensure coordination with external providers and manage calls for tenders if necessary.
- Monitor and control risks, scope changes, and interdependencies with other institutional projects, and provide regular and factual reporting.
- Listen to business needs, conduct studies and diagnostics, map processes, and identify optimization opportunities based on qualitative and quantitative data.
- Be proactive by making clear, realistic recommendations focused on process, organization, and resource efficiency.
- Define and implement the change management strategy related to projects, facilitate co-construction workshops, and promote stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain a constructive relational climate, manage disagreements diplomatically, and unite around project issues and objectives.
- Ensure alignment between business processes and technological solutions in collaboration with IT teams.
- Contribute to developing a culture of continuous improvement and disseminate best practices in project management and operational excellence within the hospital.
Depending on the level of expertise:
- Supervise junior or experienced project managers and ensure their skills development.
- Engage in large-scale strategic projects and work with high-level governance bodies.
Depending on institutional priorities, you may be involved in projects such as implementing the future electronic patient record (EPR) and process digitalization, improving patient experience and overall quality, opening and developing the future geriatrics-rehabilitation hospital, as well as establishing and evolving specialized care pathways responding to the territory's health needs.
We require
Education & certifications
- Master's degree (university, HES or EPF) in management, engineering, or equivalent training
- Certification or training in project management (IPMA, PMI, PRINCE2, Hermes or equivalent)
- Additional training in Business Analysis (IIBA) or continuous improvement/quality (Lean Six Sigma) is a sought-after asset
Experience
- Proven experience (≥ 5 years) in managing organizational and transformation projects in complex environments;
- Experience in the hospital or healthcare system: an asset
Skills & know-how
- Ability to model complex processes and assess the organizational and budgetary impact of reorganizations
- Consulting posture, analytical skills, synthesis, and solution orientation
- Excellent mastery of office and collaborative tools; understanding of hospital IT architectures (EPR, RIS/PACS, ERP, data warehouse...)
Interpersonal & behavioral skills
- Influential leadership, ability to unite, negotiate, and manage stakeholders with divergent interests
- Diplomacy, listening, conflict management, and communication adapted to different interlocutors
- Autonomy, versatility, and teamwork in a complex and changing environment

Languages
- Excellent command of French, spoken and written (required)
- Knowledge of English (minimum B1 level)
