About the job
Theater Winterthur AG operates the largest touring venue in Switzerland. It presents national and international productions in the fields of opera, operetta, musical, drama, dance and ballet as well as children’s and youth theater. With first-class technical and personnel equipment, the house is also available to external organizers for performances, congresses, and conferences. For the technical department, we are looking for a committed individual with a focus on video technology starting August 1, 2026, or by arrangement.Your Tasks
- Practical work during rehearsals, performances, and events as well as maintenance and servicing of video and sound technology systems and equipment
- Planning of guest performances and rentals
- Administrative tasks related to investments, maintenance, and further development of the video and sound technology infrastructure
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical faults during ongoing operations
- Training apprentices to become event specialists EFZ
- Support in the areas of stage and lighting technology
Your Profile
- Completed training in sound and video technology, as an event specialist EFZ or comparable qualifications, ideally supplemented by additional training
- Solid practical experience in video technology, including network and multimedia technology, preferably in theater or event settings, and expertise in sound technology
- Understanding of the processes in lighting and stage technology
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- Team player with enjoyment of working in an artistic environment
- Willingness to work irregular hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
- Good German and English language skills
