The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.

We are looking for

In the acute somatic care sector under the nursing management of Ms Dragica Novakovic, we are looking for a deputy team leader for an 80-100% workload on the interdisciplinary private ward, starting immediately or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Personnel and organisational leadership of employees on an interdisciplinary private ward with 19 beds
• You lead a team of approximately 25 employees both professionally and personally
• Promotion and holistic care of patients from different specialist disciplines
• You optimise the processes of pre- and postoperative care and promote interprofessional collaboration
• Implementation of concepts, guidelines and standards as well as responsibility for the organisation and adherence to ward procedures
• Personnel and team development as well as individual support of employees
• Co-decision in personnel recruitment
• Active participation in day-to-day operations as a qualified nurse

Your profile

• Training as a qualified nurse HF/FH, with an interest in leadership
• High social competence, good organisational skills, willingness to change and motivation to make a difference, assertiveness and competent communication skills,
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration
• Independent working style and resilient personality
• A high level of professional, social, self- and methodological competence characterises you
• You act confidently and constructively in an interdisciplinary context
