About the job
The Schaffhausen Hospitals operate an interdisciplinary emergency centre at the Cantonal Hospital. Together with the emergency practice run by general practitioners, we centrally offer comprehensive and high-quality medical care. With approximately 15,000 patients treated in a 24-hour operation (emergency centre) and an additional approximately 7,500 patients in the emergency practice (6 pm to 10 pm), over 20,000 patients are medically cared for and supported annually.
What to expect
- You will care for surgical patients in the emergency centre together with the emergency team (wound care)
- Admission examinations / medical history taking for elective patients
- If necessary, you will assist in various operations
- Participation in departmental work such as ward rounds, patient care, and documentation
- Integration into the emergency and on-call service (standby)
- Free accommodation available in the nearby staff house
What you bring to us
- Commitment and enthusiasm in a clinically interdisciplinary oriented activity
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written (minimum requirement level C1)
- Social competence in dealing with patients and relatives
- Swiss or EU citizenship
- Medical student
