Apprenticeship as an ICT Specialist EFZ Platform Development 2027 100%Do you want to become part of Switzerland's economic engine and shape your professional future with the Canton of Zurich? Then you are exactly right with us. Around 300 apprentices complete their training with us in 25 different professions. Of these, around 70 young people are currently training in the ICT sector.
We offer training places for ICT specialists, for example, at the Cantonal Police, the Office for ICT, or the Secondary and Vocational Education Office. A reliable ICT infrastructure is indispensable today. As an apprentice, you support our ICT teams in operating and further developing systems, networks, and applications securely and smoothly.
The Apprenticeship
In the four-year apprenticeship to become an ICT Specialist EFZ Platform Development, you learn to build, configure, operate, and further develop server systems, networks, and ICT platforms. Your training begins with a basic year, in which you acquire the most important professional fundamentals.
Subsequently, you work on exciting ICT projects and ensure that systems, networks, and digital services function securely, efficiently, and reliably. You will deal with cloud technologies, virtualisation, automation, as well as information security and data protection. Your training is complemented by inter-company courses, projects, and events, in which you continuously develop your professional, methodological, social, and personal skills.
The Requirements
You attend Secondary School A and achieve good results, especially in mathematics, German, and English. You are interested in ICT and technical contexts and possess analytical as well as logical-abstract thinking skills. In addition, you are characterised by a quick grasp, teamwork skills, and enjoyment in contact with people.
