Biomedical Analysis Technician at the NGS Platform
The NGS platform (next-generation sequencing) of the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DMLP) is seeking a biomedical analysis technician for an 80% to 100% workload, on a permanent contract. The starting date is scheduled for 1 October 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Attached to the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DMLP), the NGS platform (next-generation sequencing) performs high-throughput sequencing analyses for the various services of the Department. Composed of a specialised team accredited according to ISO 15189, it relies on a range of high-tech equipment serving diagnosis and research.
Mission
- You receive, handle, and register biological samples
- You prepare libraries and sequence samples for clinical and research activities
- You participate in the laboratory's quality management system
- You contribute to the platform's maintenance activities as well as product management.
Profile
- You hold a federal diploma (ES) as a biomedical analysis technician or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross
- Experience in molecular biology is an asset
- You demonstrate excellent team spirit, initiative, and autonomy
- You are proactive, committed, and appreciate technological environments
- You are curious and enjoy understanding the functioning of the technologies you use
- You are comfortable with IT tools.
