About the job

The Department of Ageing and Care of the City of Winterthur trains around 120 apprentices in 7 different professions each year. Our training programmes are practical, varied, and open up many career opportunities for you. With us, you work in a lively, meaningful environment.

In the two-year basic vocational training as a kitchen assistant, you are responsible for preparing various meals.

Your Tasks

Preparing cold and hot dishes

Producing baked goods and desserts

Managing food storage

Your Profile

Secondary school level B or C with good grades

Enjoy working with food and cooking

Good sense of smell and taste

Dexterous hands

Strong awareness of hygiene
