The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. To complement our team, we are looking for a
Your tasks
As a group leader, you take on the professional leadership of the children’s group and the group team, promote exchange, lead meetings, and ensure the implementation of pedagogical, hygienic, and safety-related requirements. You plan and evaluate the pedagogical work together with the team and actively contribute to the further development of concepts and structures.
You lead and manage a children’s group and, together with your team, design a structured, child-appropriate daily routine. In doing so, you ensure high-quality education, care, and upbringing of the children according to their individual needs.
You observe, document, and reflect on the educational and developmental processes of the children and promote these through a stimulating design of the learning environment. In addition, you support the children attentively in care and everyday situations and ensure their safety and well-being.
You conduct professional and partnership-based collaboration with parents and other professionals. Additionally, you take on organisational and administrative tasks and accompany apprentices in their training.
Your profile
You have completed training as a childcare specialist (specialising in children) or an equivalent qualification, as well as 1–2 years of professional experience and a completed vocational trainer course.
You bring leadership skills, a sense of responsibility, and enjoyment in working with children.
A solution-oriented, empathetic, and reflective working style characterises you, as well as resilience and the ability to work in a team.
You are motivated to actively contribute and to further develop the pedagogical quality together with your team.
