The University Psychiatric Clinics (UPK) Basel are one of the leading psychiatric clinics in Switzerland. Our goal is the continuous improvement of the treatment of our patients to achieve their best possible quality of life.The staff of the Social Service support the recovery process within the holistic treatment offered by the clinics. The Social Service is a cross-sectional service and ensures social work in the various clinics. The social workers assess the social situation, analyse it and develop targeted solutions together with the patients and the interprofessional team. With its social work methods and profession-specific knowledge, the Social Service contributes to holistic treatment.
Student for Practical Training (Full-time/Part-time Study) - Social Work FH 60-80%
Your Tasks
- Advising patients in the core processes of housing, finances, work/daily structure and social networking
- Clarification and regulation of the social and economic situation
- Promotion of social integration
- Promotion of patients’ social skills
- Networking with cooperation partners and authorities
- Provision of legal and material assistance information
- Participation in quality assurance and further development of the Social Service
