Your Tasks

The Winterthur wastewater treatment plant (ARA) faces profound changes over the next 15 years. New requirements for water protection, the lifespan of many plant components, and population growth require comprehensive renovation and expansion of all process stages. As a project manager, you will complement our team of two project managers in the implementation of three major projects as well as countless other projects. In doing so, you make a valuable contribution to the sustainable development of the ARA. In your new role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

You will manage various projects (conversions, renovations, expansions) on the client side in all SIA project phases. From conception, planning, procurement, execution to warranty acceptance and from credit application to credit accounting, you are the primary contact.

You will control and coordinate external planning teams in close coordination with the ARA operations team. This is done during ongoing plant operation, taking into account increased safety measures.

Through goal-oriented project controlling, you ensure project success. You are also responsible for creating comprehensible and well-founded decision-making bases for internal and external decision-making bodies.

You maintain stakeholder management with internal and external interest groups (canton, federal government, municipal utility, city administration, public) in cooperation with the relevant offices.

Your Profile

You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in process engineering, mechanical or electrical engineering, or related disciplines.

You have many years of solid experience in project management of interdisciplinary major projects (organisation according to the SIA112 construction planning model or comparable) with an investment volume from CHF 20 million, preferably in the field of urban drainage or wastewater treatment plants in Switzerland.

You are familiar with working in the public administration environment.

Your business management knowledge and conceptual thinking can be profitably applied as a project manager.

You have a strong affinity for politics and administration and their processes. You find it easy to collaborate with the various stakeholders from politics and the public.
