About the job

• You analyze the consumption and production data in BG AGROLA.
• You analyze the Swiss balancing energy market and the Swiss balancing zone balance.
• You use the analyses to create your own forecast models (Day-Ahead and Intraday).
• You use and optimize the forecast model in EDM.
• You derive trading strategies regarding the use of Virtual Power Plants (VPP) and the active management of the BG balance.
• You implement and execute these trading strategies in collaboration with our service providers for the operation of EDM, market access (Day-Ahead and Intraday), and other peripheral systems.
• You build expertise in the team in handling EDM.
• You take care of data management.

• You have a university degree (ETH/EPFL).
• You specialize in data analysis.
• You demonstrate strong skills in modeling and simulations.
• You bring experience in forecasting for electricity consumers and producers.
• You transfer analyses and models into trading strategies.
• You have in-depth knowledge of the Swiss electricity market.
• You have a deep understanding of how electricity trading markets work.
• You speak fluent German and/or French (C1); your English is business fluent. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
